Senior Ecologist (Full-Time, Permanent) – Devon

Digg & Co. Ecology is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join its small, collaborative team in Buckfastleigh, Devon. The role involves working on diverse, landscape-scale nature recovery and permaculture projects across the UK, with a strong focus on habitat restoration, regenerative farming, and ecological land management.

Candidates should have 5 -10 years’ consultancy experience, strong botanical and habitat assessment skills, and experience with planning, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), and ecological reporting. Responsibilities include conducting surveys, producing management plans, handling GIS data, and supporting project delivery.

This is a hands-on, office-based role with fieldwork, occasional travel, and opportunities to engage in practical conservation activities. Salary: £35,000–£42,000 depending on experience.
